My name is Omalee (pronounced Oh-maa-lee), and thank you for stopping by International Student Digest.
My friends call me Oma, you call me that too!?
…so now that we’re friends, here’s something that all my friends know about me.
I am ambitious, independent, an animal lover, loyal and most importantly, HAPPY. I love adventure and will say YES and be open to all new experiences, but don’t value materialistic things. I can make friends and start a conversation with anyone, but I only have a few that I consider my closest. I live in Sydney, my second home. I moved here 5 years ago to pursue my Masters at the University of New South Wales. The past 5 years have been a roller-coaster with ups and downs, but I enjoyed the ride and never looked back. While I am an Accountant by profession, I truly enjoy writing and creative work, guess that’s what brought me here…
Why Are You Here
In this website, I talk a lot about issues that International Students in Australia are dealing with and look at solutions through my own personal experience and of others. I have lived the life of an International Student in Sydney and I understand it is a daunting and stressful experience. It can be very challenging to move away from a familiar environment and enter a foreign land to create a new beginning. If this is you, I want to assure you, that you are not alone. This platform will help you find all the essential resources to make your stay easy.
Don’t worry if you are not International or in Australia. I am trying to make this invaluable information inclusive to help improve your student life as well.
I would love to connect with you on LinkedIn and hear your stories of struggles and successes as an International Student.
…stick around, keep exploring the site, let us know below what you love (or even dislike) or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org suggestions as to what you would like us to cover. We’d love to hear your thoughts.
